Adrienne Fritze

Artist Statement

My work is driven by a fascination with personal and cultural mythology—how stories shape our sense of self, belonging, and identity. Through collage, assemblage, and digital manipulation, I explore themes of transformation, trauma, healing, and the evolving soul of America. Much of my art is rooted in found materials and symbolic imagery, reflecting a deep interest in what we preserve, discard, and remember—both as individuals and as a society.

I consider myself a visual storyteller and Artrepreneur, working at the intersection of art, narrative, and emotional intelligence.

Bio

Adrienne Fritze is a Corvallis, Oregon-based artist and curator whose mixed media work explores the layered terrain of contemporary Americana through the lens of personal and collective transformation. Known for her emotionally resonant collages and conceptual series, Adrienne uses symbolic materials and reclaimed objects to process grief, memory, justice, and cultural identity.

Her series Journey to Freedom was born from time spent facilitating workshops in prisons, confronting systems of punishment, resilience, and internal liberation. A’s England and Ancient Wisdom explore cultural narrative and spiritual common ground, while her Extreme Collages™ highlight her bold, textural style and signature use of juxtaposition.

Adrienne is also the founder of RemarkableArts and Black Ink Mysteries™, where she blends storytelling, immersive experiences, and artistic collaboration. Through these platforms—and now as curator of Contemporary Americana Art—she elevates voices that challenge, question, and reinterpret what it means to be American in the 21st century.

When not in the studio or curating exhibitions, Adrienne speaks on the power of narrative and art to transform trauma and build community. Her work is a conversation between past and present, invitation and disruption.
